To receive hormonal contraception resupply, you must: • be aged between 18 to 49 years (inclusive) * • be taking a low-risk pill for contraception reasons (to prevent unplanned pregnancy) • have taken the pill continuously for two years, as prescribed by a doctor (GP) or nurse practitioner. Patients aged 40 – 49 years (inclusive) can only receive a limited supply of their oral contraceptive pill and will be referred to their GP for follow-up. This is because there are additional risks associated with hormonal contraception use in this age group. These medicines dispensed are not eligible for Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme subsidy.
