These rich traditional fruit cakes are hand-made by a team of dedicated women committed to improving the lives of women and girls.

The cakes are the leading fundraising activity each year for an organisation called Soroptimist International with the profits used to fund a range of important projects.

​

Great to share with unexpected visitors or as an alternative to a plum pudding on Christmas Day. The cakes are round and weigh approximately 650gms.

Each serves around 12 people.

Each cake is decorated with fondant stars and almonds. The other main ingredients are - butter, eggs, baking powder, ginger, Guinness Stout, flour, brown sugar, sultanas, currants, raisins, and spices.
